The Nordex group has received turbine orders from developer UKA for 33 machines in Germany.
The company said the 224.4MW of N175/6.X turbines form part of an existing framework agreement and include 20-year premium service contracts.
It added that the units will be installed across nine wind farms in regions including Brandenburg, Thuringia and North Rhine-Westphalia.
Construction and commissioning will begin from 2027 depending on project and site, with the turbines set on 179-metre hybrid towers.
“In a market environment that has become more challenging, we are making good progress with the realization of our project pipeline,” said Gernot Gauglitz, managing partner of the UKA group.
“The turbines we use are one of the factors contributing to the profitability of our projects,” Gauglitz added.
“With this order, UKA has firmly ordered an additional 224MW from our premium partner Nordex,” stated Gauglitz.
“These latest orders further deepen the successful collaboration between the Nordex Group and UKA,” said Karsten Brüggemann, vice president region central of the Nordex group.
“We are pleased that UKA has once again chosen our most powerful wind turbines from our portfolio and is also opting for a large hub height of 179 metres with the N175/6.X for these projects,” Brüggemann added.
