Vestas has secured a 102MW order from Edison for two Italian wind projects, the first firm call-off under a wider 400MW frame agreement.
The Andretta-Bisaccia site will use five V150-5.6MW EnVentus turbines alongside 12 V150-4.5MW units, while the Rocchetta project will comprise four V136-4.5MW machines.
Both schemes will be backed by 10-year service agreements, with turbine delivery and commissioning scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.
“Signing the frame agreement with Edison and securing the first two firm projects totalling 102MW marks an important step in strengthening our long-standing partnership,” said Francesco Amati, general manager for Vestas Italy.
Edison Rinnovabili chief executive Fabio Lamioni said the company aims to modernise its fleet, doubling green energy output while cutting turbine numbers to improve landscape integration.
In Asia-Pacific meanwhile Vestas has booked a 43MW order in South Korea for DaeMyoung Energy’s Gokseong Green Wind Power Project.
The deal covers seven V162-6.2MW turbines under a 20-year AOM5000 service agreement, with delivery planned in 2027 and commissioning in 2028.
