Vestas has secured four new onshore wind orders totalling 289MW in southern Europe, led by a 125MW contract for ERG’s Carlentini and Greci-Montaguto projects in Italy.
Vestas said the Italian order covers 18 V163-4.5MW, six V136-4.5MW and four V117-4.2MW turbines for the Carlentini and Greci-Montaguto sites in Jeollanam Province.
According to the manufacturer, turbine delivery and commissioning for the Italian projects are expected by 2026 under a long-term AOM 5000 service agreement.
In Spain, Capital Energy has placed an 88MW order for the El Castillar and Joluga projects, comprising four V162-6.2MW, nine V163-4.5MW and five V150-4.5MW turbines.
Vestas stated that the Spanish portfolio will be supported by a 20-year AOM 4000 service agreement, with turbine commissioning scheduled for the first and second quarters of 2027.
In Portugal, Saeta has ordered 45MW for the Penamarcor project, which will be equipped with 10 V163-4.5MW turbines.
The Portuguese scheme will be backed by a long-term AOM 5000 service agreement, with turbine commissioning expected by the end of 2026.
A second Portuguese order sees Hyperion contract 32MW for the Nortada project, using seven V163-4.5MW turbines.
Vestas added that Nortada will be covered by a 20-year AOM 4000 service agreement, with turbine delivery and commissioning both expected in the first half of 2027.
