Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners has announced a partnership with Alterra on its Growth Markets Fund II.
The company said Growth Markets Fund II is intended to be one of the world’s largest greenfield-focused renewable energy funds, targeting markets with rapidly rising energy demand.
Senior partner Torsten Lodberg Smed said: “We are very proud of this commitment to our Growth Market Fund II, which marks the start of a partnership with Alterra, one of the world’s leading climate investors.”
Smed added: “This partnership will enable CIP and Alterra to work towards a common goal of providing clean, affordable, and secure energy to rapidly growing economies across Asia, Latin America, and Africa where demand is accelerating.”
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners stated that the partnership is aimed at accelerating access to reliable and affordable energy while supporting the transition to more resilient, low-carbon power systems.
