R Power has secured capacity market contracts for five battery energy storage projects in Poland following the December 2025 auction.
The company said the awards cover a combined 1,012MW and 4,032MWh of capacity, strengthening its position in large-scale energy storage.
R.Power stated that the portfolio includes projects at Dzięgielewo, Czekanów, Jawiszów, Wysoka and Wrzosowa.
The company added that the projects will support system stability and enhance long-term security of electricity supply as renewable generation increases.
The outcome builds on capacity contracts secured in 2024 for four battery projects at Herby, Jedwabno, Tursko Wielkie and Gdańsk, according to the company.
R.Power said that, combined, its contracted battery portfolio in Poland now totals nine projects with 1,667MW and 6,342MWh of capacity.
Przemek Pięta, ceo and co-founder of R.Power, said: “Reaching a total of around 6.3 GWh of contracted battery storage capacity marks an important moment for R.Power and for the Polish energy system. The scale of our storage portfolio now positions us among the leaders of the emerging BESS market. At the same time, we are seeing significant advances in battery technology, which enable the development of increasingly large and complex projects. We remain fully committed to delivering the flexibility solutions that the power system urgently needs.”
R.Power is a Poland-headquartered independent renewable energy producer with operations across several European markets and a multi-technology development portfolio spanning solar, battery storage and wind.
