BayWa re has handed over the 45MW Dollenkamp wind farm to ENOVA Value after the project was connected to the grid on schedule.
The company said the turnkey project southwest of Brakel in North Rhine-Westphalia comprises eight Vestas V162 turbines and has taken around 13 months to construct.
ENOVA stated the wind farm is expected to generate about 100,000MWh per year and will be operated with immediate effect.
Hauke Brümmer, chief executive officer at ENOVA, said: “The Dollenkamp wind farm stands for mutual trust and excellent cooperation with BayWa r.e.”
Brümmer added: “What we are also particularly pleased about is that with the acquisition of the wind farm, we have taken another step closer to our goal of having 1GW of onshore wind energy in our portfolio by the end of the year.”
Daniel Gäfke, chief operating officer at BayWa r.e., said: “The scheduled commissioning of the Dollenkamp wind farm marks the end of a project that has been characterised by strong cooperation from the very beginning.”
Gäfke added: “With the handover to ONOVA, we now know that the wind farm is in the best hands.”
