Morten Henriksen has announced his decision to step down as chief executive of Mainstream Renewable Power to pursue other opportunities.
The board said Julie Berg will become group chief executive in January 2026.
It added that Berg joined Mainstream in 2024 as chief financial officer and led the company’s strategic transformation, including the move of its headquarters from Dublin to Oslo in 2025.
According to the company, Berg previously served as CFO at Aker Carbon Capture and as a partner at KPMG.
Mainstream stated that her knowledge of the business and the sector will support completion of its optimisation programme and future growth.
The company said it was founded in 2008 and develops utility-scale wind and solar projects in markets including Chile and South Africa.
It added that Aker Horizons became its majority owner in 2021, with Mitsui joining as a strategic investor in 2022.
Mainstream stated that it has delivered 6.6GW of wind and solar assets to financial close-ready.
