Tadek Ocean Engineering is marking its 15th anniversary with a major leadership restructure and six senior appointments to drive the company’s next phase of growth.
The UK-based offshore engineering consultancy said the expansion follows a period of rapid development that has seen year-on-year revenue double as it continues to deliver complex naval architecture and project execution work across the global offshore sector.
Founder and managing director Rupert Raymond (pictured far left) said: “When I started Tadek in 2010, I could never have imagined the incredible team and community we would become. Over the years, our team has been integral to a broad range of innovative analysis and offshore projects – from the first commercial subsea tidal device to the recent 30MW EFGL floating wind farm.”
He added that strengthening the leadership team marks “the next step in Tadek’s ongoing growth journey”.
New appointments include Dr Pierpaolo Ricci (pictured third right), formerly floating wind technical authority at SSE, who returns to lead Tadek’s mooring and floating systems capability, and Andrew French, previously with Balfour Beatty and TWD, who will head marine civils and design engineering.
Internal promotions include Dr Daniela Benites Munoz (pictured third left) as director of analysis and consulting, Nigel Terry (pictured second left) as director of renewables, Alastair Berry as director of project engineering, and James Tate (pictured far right) as director of projects, SURF and cables.
Nigel Terry said: “It’s been amazing to see the growth of Tadek – from the early days with just a few of us sharing a table in a cramped office to the thriving company we are today. Our ethos of collaboration, integrity and passion has never changed.”
Raymond added: “Tadek has an outstanding team, including what I believe to be the top 1% of talent in UK offshore engineering. Our dynamic leadership team enhances our capabilities and reflects our ambition for excellence and sustainable growth.”
Tadek employs 35 engineers and continues to expand its workforce as part of delivery partnerships with firms including AtkinsRéalis, Allseas, Balmoral Comtec, DOF Subsea, Ocean Winds, RWE and Wood.
