Qair has assumed full ownership of the Ayre offshore wind as part of a ScotWind realignment and will develop the floating project alone.
The company said the shift follows a joint decision with DEME Concessions and Aspiravi International to align asset ownership with technical expertise.
Qair has exited the Bowdun project, which will now be solely owned by DEME Concessions and Aspiravi International.
Ayre, located east of Orkney and north-east of Caithness, will deliver 1GW of floating offshore wind capacity and power more than 1.2 million homes.
Construction is expected to start in 2030, Qair claimed.
All three companies remain partners in Thistle Wind Partners to continue collaborating on Scotland’s next-generation offshore wind supply chain and infrastructure.
