Energiequelle has resumed construction at the 105MW Mikonkeita wind farm in Kristiinankaupunki, Finland, after addressing a technical issue with one of the turbine foundations.
Work was paused earlier this year when a deviation was detected in the bolted connection between a foundation and tower. The company said corrective measures have been agreed by all parties and safety has not been compromised.
Eight Siemens Gamesa SG 6.6-170 turbines have already been installed, with the remaining eight to follow.
Repair work and installation are scheduled to continue in week 40, Energiequelle said, with commercial operations targeted no later than early 2026.
The developer added the project will generate enough clean power for about 75,000 households, supporting the region’s energy transition and Finland’s climate targets.
Energiequelle said it is “looking forward to the completion of the project” and thanked all parties for their “professional and careful work”.
