RES has won a three-year contract to operate and maintain UK’s solar farm, Cleve Hill, on the north Kent coast.
The 373MW project, which began operations in July, will generate clean electricity for more than 100,000 homes annually and is classed as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project.
Under the agreement, RES will provide operations and maintenance services to optimise asset performance, efficiency and availability.

RES said the project highlights the need for continued progress on permitting, grid access and consistent policy support to replicate large-scale developments across the UK.
The company now manages 2.5GW of assets across the UK and Ireland, including 2.2GW of solar and 300MW of storage. Four new staff will join its UK operations as part of the Cleve Hill contract.
The solar park was built by Metlen for Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners. The deal marks RES’ first UK collaboration with Metlen, following joint work in Italy, Romania and Australia.
