Commerz Real has commissioned the 47MW Amance solar park in eastern France for its Klimavest fund.
The photovoltaic facility near Troyes covers 42 hectares and is expected to meet the theoretical electricity needs of around 11,000 households, according to the company.
Klimavest acquired the ready-to-build project from BayWa r.e. in March 2025. BayWa r.e. constructed the site and will take on technical and commercial operations, with test runs now under way to optimise performance.
Michael Henn, global head of green deal infrastructure at Commerz Real, said: “The scheduled commissioning of the Amance solar park confirms our strategy of investing in mature projects with reliable partners. France has proven to be a reliable market for renewable energy investments with attractive conditions.”
The site will also function as grazing land for a local sheep farmer, with tailored pasture planting, fencing, water troughs and vehicles provided. In return, the flock will manage vegetation across the park.
With Amance online, Klimavest has expanded its €1.7bn portfolio of more than 40 wind and solar investments across six countries, as well as a stake in German transmission operator Amprion.
