Acciona Energía has agreed to sell its 65% stake in the 49MW Chiripa wind farm in Costa Rica to Ecoenergía, which already holds the remaining 35%.
The deal, which reflects an enterprise value of $80m (€71.4m), is expected to close by the end of the year subject to government and financial approvals.

Located in Guanacaste province, Chiripa has been operating since 2015 under a long-term power purchase agreement within a BOT scheme that runs until 2033.
The asset is backed by project financing of $50m (€44.6m).
Acciona said the divestment is part of its asset rotation strategy to strengthen its financial position, following recent sales in Spain and Peru.
