SUSI Partners has agreed to sell an onshore wind farm to the Irish subsidiary of Italian renewable energy company Alerion Clean Power.
The four-turbine 14.4MW Milestone wind farm is located in County Tipperary in Ireland.
Upon completion of the transaction, SUSI will have exited over 80% of the SUSI Renewable Energy Fund II’s (SREF II) assets.
The wind farm (pictured) has an average annual power production of 40GWh, which is enough to cover the electricity consumption of approximately 15,000 Irish households, and accounts for more than 70,000 tonnes of avoided carbon dioxide emissions to date.
SUSI had acquired the asset in early 2018 during the final phase of construction, before commercial operations began in 2019.
SUSI launched SREF II in 2014 and built a portfolio of operating onshore wind and solar PV assets located across Europe.
Projects were typically acquired at ready-to-build stage and SUSI said they have all built up a robust production track record.
