Dajin Heavy Industry has sent out its first batch of six monopiles for ESB and Red Rock Renewables’ Inch Cape offshore wind farm.
The monopiles for the 1.1GW project in Scotland set sail from the Chinese company’s Penglai facility.
The Inch Cape project, located 15km off the Angus coast, will have a total of 54 monopile foundations and 18 jacket foundations for its 72 wind turbines.
The monopiles are being delivered by Dajin and CWHI, while COOEC-Fluor (CFHI) is responsible for the jacket foundations.
A spokesperson for Dajin said: “This milestone marks another significant achievement for Dajin as we continue to expand our global footprint in the offshore wind market.
“Inch Cape is the second project after Moray West that Dajin will deliver monopiles to Scotland, further solidifying our commitment to supporting the renewable energy transition in Europe.
“This accomplishment underscores our capability to efficiently and reliably deliver high-quality offshore wind foundations at scale.
“We extend our sincere gratitude to our dedicated team, trusted partners, and valued clients for their ongoing collaboration and support.”
Last week, CWHI shipped out its first eight XXL monopiles for Inch Cape.
