Ocean Winds has signed contracts with Polish suppliers for the onshore export works at its 390MW BC-Wind offshore wind farm off Poland.
The developer has selected P&Q as main contractor for construction of the onshore cable trench, while Tele-Fonika Kable will deliver the export cable system.
The contract covers the design, supply and installation of around 8km of onshore export cable connecting the landfall point in Choczewo municipality with the project’s substation.
Ocean Winds said the agreements mark an important milestone in enabling clean electricity from the project to reach the grid.
The company added that awarding the contracts locally will support job creation, build domestic expertise and contribute to Poland’s wider renewable energy ambitions.
BC-Wind is to feature Siemens Gamesa 15MW turbines and is due online in 2028.
