Oceaneering is to expand subsea power cable manufacturing capacity in Rosyth with support from a £400,000 Scottish Enterprise grant.
The project will create senior research and development roles and use existing manufacturing equipment in its initial phase.
Once the new product is designed and certified, Oceaneering plans to invest in additional equipment and machinery to increase capacity.
The project will total £1.6m.
Cabinet secretary for climate action and energy Gillian Martin said it reflected government commitment to supporting innovation and growth in offshore wind.
Senior vice president of manufactured products Shaun Roedel said the funding would drive job creation and strengthen the local supply chain for the UK floating wind market.
Scottish Enterprise director for energy transition Suzanne Sosna said Oceaneering exemplified the ambition to make Scotland a global centre of excellence for offshore wind.
Oceaneering’s Rosyth facility has operated since 1999, supplying subsea umbilicals to offshore oil and gas projects.
