Global Wind Service has appointed Rasmus Ravn as chief operating officer, effective 1 August, to lead day-to-day operations and support the company’s global growth strategy.
Ravn joins from Vestas, where he spent 17 years in senior roles, most recently as head of onshore construction for northern and western Europe.
GWS said the appointment reflects its commitment to operational excellence and continued expansion across international wind turbine installation and maintenance markets.
“I’m genuinely motivated by the opportunity to be part of Global Wind Service’s ambitious growth plans,” said Ravn.
“I’m eager to support the company’s development by driving improvements in customer satisfaction through operational, commercial, and cultural alignment.”
He added: “Bringing my experience and energy, I look forward to helping Global Wind Service achieve its goals and navigate the next chapter of its journey.”
Ravn brings extensive experience in project delivery and has led global and regional teams managing large-scale onshore and offshore wind developments.
GWS chief executive Michael Hoj Olsen said: “Rasmus’s extensive experience in the wind industry, combined with his strong leadership and strategic vision, makes him the perfect fit to help GWS scale operations, enhance efficiency, and consistently deliver outstanding results.”
GWS said the new appointment would help strengthen the leadership team as the company continues to grow its presence as a trusted partner to major OEMs.
