DEME has launched its second wind-turbine installation vessel, Norse Energi, at the Yantai CIMC Raffles yard in China.
The GustoMSC-designed jack-up can handle turbines with rotor diameters above 300 metres and XXL monopiles of up to 3000 tonnes in water depths of 70 metres.

Sister ship Norse Wind shares the same specifications.
DEME said the ceremony celebrated a partnership with CIMC Raffles built on “trust, respect and excellence”, noting safety remained paramount from first steel cut in January to launch.
Norse Energi now moves into final construction and outfitting.
DEME expects Norse Wind and Norse Energi to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2025 and early 2026 respectively.
Both vessels will carry the company’s signature green livery.
