UK company Blaze Manufacturing Solutions has secured fire safety contracts for the Baltyk 2 and 3 offshore wind farms in Poland.
The wind farms will have a total capacity of 1.4GW and are being developed in the Baltic Sea by Equinor and Polenergia through a joint venture.
Steel company Iemants awarded the contracts to Blaze for the design, supply and commission of the fire alarm and extinguishing systems for the Baltyk 2 and 3 offshore substations.
Blaze said the awarding of the contract reinforces its expertise in delivering critical fire protection for large-scale renewable energy infrastructure.

The contract encompasses the design, engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning of fire alarm and extinguishing systems.
The Aberdeenshire-based company said it will utilise advanced technologies and best practices to provide comprehensive fire detection, suppression, and control.
The systems will be designed to withstand the harsh offshore environment and ensure rapid response in the event of a fire, the company added.

The Baltyk 2 and 3 wind farms are planned to deliver first power in 2027.
