Orlen chief executive Ireneusz Fąfara has met with Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė to discuss opportunities to invest in the country’s renewables infrastructure.
The developer is exploring opportunities to expand its green energy footprint in Lithuania, including through investments in offshore sites and green hydrogen production.

Potential developments in onshore wind and solar assets at the refinery in Mažeikiai are also under consideration.
Fąfara said: “Expanding into renewables will not only provide us with stable energy sources, but will also help us move closer to decarbonising our refining operations.”
