Anma Offshore Wind Energy has selected engineering and advisory company Ramboll for detailed foundation design and certification support for South Korea’s first utility-scale offshore wind project.
Ramboll, having established its first office in South Korea end of 2022, has secured the contract for WTG Foundation Detailed Design of the 532MW wind farm’s 38 14MW turbines, which will be supported on three-legged jackets with pre-installed pin-piles. Additionally, Anma Offshore Wind Energy will also rely on Ramboll for developing Design Basis part A and assisting in the certification process with the certification body.
“With our impressive global track record in foundation design, particularly in jacket foundations engineering, we convinced Anma Offshore Wind Energy that Ramboll is the ideal partner for this project,” said global executive director for Wind at Ramboll Tim Fischer.
“Our growing local team in Seoul collaborates with our international specialists. We take pride in supporting South Korea’s journey toward a green energy future.”
Anma EPC director Iulian Vranceanu added: “Collaborating with Ramboll for the detailed foundation design marks a pivotal step for Anma Offshore Wind.
“Ramboll’s flexibility and adaptability, coupled with their engineering expertise, make them the right partner for this crucial phase.”
