Verbund Green Power, the Spanish subsidiary of the Austrian utility, has commissioned a 50MW solar plant.
The Calatrava 2 solar plant is located in Manzanares, in the province of Ciudad Real.

The facility covers a total area of 99 hectares and consists of 76,632 panels.
The construction works were carried out by Lantania.
With this latest commissioning, Verbund Green Energy’s renewable energy capacity in operation in Spain amounts to 680MW, comprising 380MW of wind power and 300MW of solar power.
In addition, the company has several projects under construction that now total 70MW, as well as a portfolio of renewable energy plants that are at an advanced stage of development.
