Ocean Winds, a 50-50 joint venture by EDP Renewables and Engie, has appointed Craig Windram as chief executive effective from 1 July 2024.
Ocean Winds’ board of directors, said: “Since its inception in 2019/2020 and thanks to the excellence of the previous management, Ocean Winds has reached a key moment as a company, having tripled its portfolio of secured projects in less than four years, and currently focusing on the construction of 2GW of new offshore wind capacity in the United Kingdom and in France as well as the successful delivery of another 13GW of secured projects.
“OW’s board of directors is more than confident in Craig Windram’s capabilities to lead the 600 committed and impressive OW employees in their daily purpose of developing, building, and operating offshore wind farms all around the world.”
Windram added: “Dedicating my career to the development of renewable energies for the past 25 years and as a firm believer in their key role for an urgent and successful energy transition, I am thrilled to join Ocean Winds, a pure offshore wind developer and operator, at a pivotal moment for the offshore wind sector and the company.”
