Peak Wind has appointed Nick Davies and Roger Chen as country director and deputy country director Taiwan respectively.
This strategic move reflects Peak Wind’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions in the Asia-Pacific region and and provides operational management to a 900MW portfolio of offshore wind farms.
Nick Davies (pictured left) has been serving as operations director for PEAK Wind’s Taiwan offshore wind projects.
He brings more than a decade of experience in operations excellence and has a deep understanding of the local market dynamics, the company said.
He said: “I am excited to take on the leadership role of Peak Wind Taiwan.
“We see Taiwan as one of the key locations for Peak Wind and we want to increase our efforts and activities in further developing the offshore wind industry in this crucial market.”
Chen (pictured right) has an extensive background in offshore wind operations and will play a crucial role in expanding Peak Wind’s footprint in Taiwan, according to the developer.
He said: “I am excited to contribute to this next stage of Peak Wind’s development.
“The growth of the offshore wind industry in Taiwan means not only securing our country’s energy future but also creating more work opportunities for skilled professionals who want a job with a meaningful purpose.”
The Taiwan branch will focus on successfully running Peak Wind’s current projects, fostering local partnerships, and supporting the region’s sustainable energy goals.
