EnBW has commissioned its Lentföhrden wind farm (pictured) in Germany.
The project comprises 5 Nordex N133 wind turbines with a total height of around 190 metres and an output of 4.8MW each, located in the municipalities of Lentföhrden and Weddelbrook, in the Segeberg district of Schleswig-Holstein.
In the future, the plants are expected to supply around 14,000 two-person households with environmentally friendly green electricity.
Christopher Sonntag, project manager at EnBW, said: “These five wind turbines are not only a significant step towards a sustainable energy supply, but also proof that our commitment to climate protection is bearing fruit.
“We are proud to have reached this important milestone and will continue to do everything we can to drive the energy transition forward.
“We would like to thank all partners and communities involved for their support in this project and look forward to sustainable wind farm operation.”
