EEW KHPC has signed a preferred supply agreement for the fabrication and supply of pin piles for the 532MW Anma Offshore Wind Power project in South Korea.
In this project, EEW KHPC plans to manufacture and supply 60 pin piles, a substructure that supports a 14MW wind turbine, blades and tower.
Anma Offshore Wind is being built in the sea about 40km west of Anma Island in Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do.
It will be Korea’s first large-scale offshore wind power complex, with 38 wind power generators installed.
This is the largest offshore wind power project in Korea to date.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the first half of next year and be completed in 2028.
Dr. Kwan-Gyu (Alex) Tak, managing director of EEW KHPC, said: “As a South Korean company, we are very proud to be involved in one of the first offshore wind power projects in South Korea.
“More than 1.4 million local people will be supplied with electricity by Anma every year.”
