Copenhagen Offshore Partners and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners have submitted a proposal for a 500MW offshore wind project in the Bay of Bengal to the Bangladesh government.
The project, which would be the first in the country, will help support its green transition goals and bring clean energy and economic opportunities to the region.

The proposal comes with a valuation of $1.3bn and the companies have suggested South Asian infrastructure developer and operator Summit Power International joins them in a consortium to develop the project.
