Non-profit World Forum Offshore Wind (WFO) has welcomed Westwood Global Energy Group (Westwood) as its exclusive ‘Knowledge Partner’ and new WFO member.
The partnership will see Westwood provide WFO members and the wider sector with global insights, trends and developments in offshore wind.
As a WFO member, Westwood will also play an active role in regular committee meetings and use its insight to challenge assumptions and advance its already detailed knowledge of the industry.
WFO managing director Gunnar Herzig said: “We look forward to working with the entire Westwood team to ensure that we can provide additional benefits to our WFO members and deliver the most relevant information and analysis to the global community to help advance offshore wind worldwide. Westwood’s deep expertise and international setup with offices in Europe, Asia and the US is an ideal fit with WFO’s global profile.”
Westwood head of energy transition David Linden added: “Our partnership with WFO is born out of a shared common goal of wanting to enable the growth of the offshore wind industry. Offshore wind is on the eve of transformation, moving from a niche, regionally bound technology to a truly global driver of net-zero goals.
“To allow stakeholders to take advantage of the scale of opportunity, and effectively navigate the sector’s current headwinds, this partnership will provide independent data, analysis and thought leadership.”
