The Netherlands achieved its 6000MW national onshore wind target in 2022, new figures have revealed.
By year-end, the country had 6045 MW of onshore wind capacity installed, meeting the goal set in its 2013 Energy Agreement.

However, the agreement had originally aimed to reach the target by 2020. The goal was subsequently postponed to 2023, with the condition that the part that was not achieved in 2020 would be doubled before the end of 2023.
This additional increase was also met.
In addition, several onshore wind projects are still planned, with another 835MW expected to come online in 2023.
Beyond that, another 1000 MW are in the pipeline for subsequent years.
