The record year for installations also meant the Netherlands finally reached the target set out in its 2013 Energy Agreement, of 6GW of installed onshore wind by 2020.
WindStats is responsible for recording the installation figures.
In the Netherlands 2022 was the third highest year on record for total new onshore and offshore wind capacity additions, where years 2020 and 2021 were boosted by offshore wind capacity additions.
