Following Portugal announcing its offshore wind development ambitions, Ocean Winds has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Port of Setúbal – APSS – Administração dos Portos de Setúbal e Sesimbra.
Under the agreement, the pair will work together on preliminary steps in getting port infrastructures ready for the opportunities to come.
Country manager for southern Europe José Pinheiro said: “We are aware that one of the challenges of the energy sector is to have infrastructures capable of serving offshore wind projects on the Portuguese coast, which strategically can serve international logistics.
