Business Network for Offshore Wind (BNOW) will host a California Offshore Wind Supplier Day on Wednesday 14 December in San Diego to educate West Coast businesses about floating offshore wind and boost supply chain collaboration and innovation.
The race to meet the federal goal of deploying 15GW of floating offshore wind by 2035 and California’s recently announced goal of 25GW of offshore wind energy by 2045 will create “unprecedented growth opportunities for West Coast businesses” throughout the supply chain, BNOW stated.
This event will feature speakers from Ocean Winds, Equinor and RWE, three of the five companies with successful bids in last week’s auction.
Over 100 attendees from dozens of supply chain businesses are expected to attend, and participants will be able to meet with offshore wind developers, technology providers, and other suppliers, and learn about potential contracting opportunities.
