Scottish developer Muirhall Energy and its partners are seeking new investors to progress their growing portfolio of renewable energy and storage projects.
Muirhall has constructed more than 140MW of onshore wind capacity, with a further 1.2GW of renewables projects consented or in planning and in excess of 2GW in early-stage development across Scotland, England and Wales.
The developer’s decision to bring on board new investors was first reported in the most recent issue of the subscriber-only reNEWS publication.
The company is working towards concluding the process in around the middle of 2023.
Sarah McIntosh, Managing Director of Muirhall Energy, said: “Our successful track record has led us to engage with the market to identify the right investors to take the company to the next level of growth.
“This is an important and natural step in the growth of our business as we seek to develop our growing pipeline of exciting projects, and accelerate the contribution we make to Scotland’s and the UK’s net zero targets.
“We are still at the early stages of the process, and are actively seeking investors that will embrace ‘the Muirhall way’, which has seen us achieve a greater than 95% success rate in the planning process and enjoy fantastic relationships with our community partners.
“Over coming months, we will continue to progress contractual commitments for our industry-leading Community Investment Funds and Community Shared Ownership Schemes with community groups close to our proposed projects.”
The company is being supported by advisers KPMG, who will issue an Information Memorandum to potential investors later this month.
