The Green Investment Group (GIG) has made several changes at the top with Edward Northam to switch roles for the first time since the company’s acquisition by Macquarie five years ago.
Northam, who has led GIG’s European business, will now head up the company’s Asia Pacific division from his base in Singapore.
He will also continue to lead the group’s core renewables strategy.
He is replaced by Chris Archer, who previously led GIG in the Americas, and Sam Newman, who have been appointed co-heads of GIG in EMEA.
GIG has meanwhile appointed William Demas as its new head of Americas, who rejoins the company from Stonepeak Partners.
Demas has also held leading positions at Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and spent the early part of his career at Good Energies.
Mark Dooley, Global Head of GIG, said: “I’m delighted to announce these new roles for Will Demas, Ed Northam, Chris Archer and Sam Newman. These appointments place seasoned market leaders in each of our three regional roles, Europe, APAC and the Americas.
“I’m confident this positions us for a new phase of growth in volume and impact; connecting the capital of the world’s largest investors with new green energy projects – helping to accelerate the transition to net zero.”
