RWE has begun construction and installation of the wind turbines for a 48MW wind project in Poland.
The new wind farm is being built near the town of Żnin in Kujawia-Pomerania, about 260 km east of Szczecin.
The project will consist of 16 wind turbines and commissioning is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2023.
RWE has secured support in the Contract for Difference auction scheme for the wind farm.
“The construction work to prepare the infrastructure, such as roadworks and the casting of the foundations, will begin in a timely manner.
“The construction of a wind farm also offers advantages to farmers in the area: we will create new access roads and fortify the existing dirt roads.
“This will facilitate access to the fields and thus improve daily operations.
“At the beginning of 2023, the inhabitants of Żnin will be able to observe the interesting process of installing wind turbines,” said Wojciech Borkowski, who is responsible for project implementation at RWE Renewables Poland.
