RWE and Energy Infrastructure Partners (EIP) have brought online the 475MW Nysater wind farm located about 400km north of Stockholm in Sweden.
Nysater is one of the largest onshore wind farms in Europe, generating enough electricity to cover the annual needs of more than 300,000 Swedish households and support the green industrial revolution in north Sweden, RWE said.
RWE has a 20% stake in the project and will operate the wind farm, while EIP holds 80%.
RWE Renewables chief executive for onshore wind & solar in Europe & Australia Katja Wünschel said: “We are proud to implement one of Europe’s largest onshore green energy projects together with our partners in Nysäter.
