DOF Subsea and AHTS vessel Skandi Skansen are preparing to start offshore installation work next week on Equinor’s 88MW Hywind Tampen floating offshore wind farm off Norway.
Skandi Skansen will undertake the installation work on the suction anchors ahead of the tow to site of the completed turbines.

Hywind Tampen will be located about 140km from shore and will meet 35% of the annual power demand of five platforms – Snorre A and B and Gullfaks A, B and C.
The wind farm will feature 11 Siemens Gamesa 8MW turbines.
It is scheduled to be operational at the end of 2022.
