Lithuania has launched a public consultation on the environmental impact assessment for a 700MW offshore wind project.
The blueprint calls for up to 16MW turbines, each up to 300 metres tall.

Between 43 and 87 units are proposed at the site.
Authorities say various alternatives must be assessed in the EIA, including on construction and installation activities.
The consultation will reduce risks during a future tender process for the site, said the Energy Ministry.
It has called for input from developers and all other interested parties, including for proposals on technical and physical aspects of the wind farm.
Responses should be submitted by 8 March.
