Offshore wind consultancy Delta Wind Partners has confirmed the signing of wind industry veteran Asger Pedersen.

In the role, he will “add critical new dimensions” of project design, commercial contracting, and a “holistic view” to the firm’s existing base of technical and operational expertise.

Delta said the hiring of Pedersen will help it to capture full scope consulting services work arising from the development in large-scale floating wind projects.

“Having a veteran executive like Asger Pedersen on the Delta Wind Partners team will add substantial value to our current and future customers,” said Rene Aagaard, founding partner of Delta Wind Partners.

“His expertise in early project engagement and commercial activities allows us to broaden our service offering and provide holistic, strategic support for a customer’s business case.”

Pedersen has previously worked at Vestas Offshore and MHI Vestas Offshore Wind, during the past 15 years, and project development across Europe and Asia Pacific.

“The growth of Delta Wind Partners during the past year has been remarkable. The company’s ambition, values, and approach toward customers has positioned the firm extremely well in the offshore wind sector, and I am very pleased to be joining such a group,” said Asger Pedersen.

In just 11 months, Delta Wind Partners has established itself as a trusted partner to well-known industry developers, contractors, and other consultancies that are in need of wind turbine technical and interface management.

As it approaches its one-year anniversary, the firm is now positioned to provide a wider range of services across the entire project lifecycle, from design and development, to construction, operations, and decommissioning.

Aagaard adds: “The extraordinary growth in offshore wind up to 2030 will only materialize if every new project is met with a coordinated effort of strategic insights, commercial expertise, and operational excellence.

“The expansion of our sector will demand our very best as we move into new markets and adopt new technologies. We look forward to supporting offshore wind developers and contractors with an enhanced range of services, even as we continue our own growth journey.”
