Lightsource BP has hired Bernardo Goarmon as group chief financial officer and board member.
He was previously executive vice-president of finance at EDP Renewables North America.
Goarmon (pictured) has previously worked in the US, Spain and Portugal, and initially will be based Lightsource BP’s San Francisco office.
He will then relocate to the UK and be based in the London head office.
Lightsource BP Group chief executive Nick Boyle said: “At Lightsource BP, we’ve always said that our strength is our people, and that is true from top to bottom.
“We’re heavily investing in talent and have added 200 new members to our teams worldwide in the last year alone.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Bernardo to our leadership team and feel strongly that his knowledge and skill will be a significant asset as we ramp up our growth worldwide.”
