The Danish Energy Agency and the municipality of Hvidovre have launched a public consultation on the environmental impact report for the 300MW Aflandshage offshore wind farm.
The consultation runs until 20 February next year and gives citizens, organisations, authorities and others who may be affected by the project the opportunity to comment on the report.
A virtual information meeting about the project hosted by DEA, the municipality and the project developer Hofor, will be held on 12 January 2022 at 7pm local time.
Hofor is planning to build between 26-45 turbines of up to 220 metres in height in the Oresund south of Aflandshage.
The turbines would cover a total sea area of about 42 square km, more than eight km from the coast.
Aflandshage is expected to be connected to the electricity grid at Energinet’s existing 132kV station at Avedorevaerket via a new 33 or 66kV/132kV transformer station.
