Scotland’s government has given the go-ahead for ScottishPower Renewables’ 126MW Cumberhead West wind farm in Scotland.
The project will feature 21 turbines with a maximum tip height of 200 metres, as well as 40MW of energy storage.
It will be located approximately 4.3km to the west of Coalburn, 5.6km to the south-west of Lesmahagow and 7.2km to the north-west of Douglas in South Lanarkshire.
The government said it is satisfied that SPR has done what it reasonably can to mitigate any effect that the proposed development would have on the natural beauty of the countryside or any such flora, fauna, features, sites, buildings or objects.
The decision is final, subject to the right of any aggrieved person to apply to the Court of Session for judicial review.
