The load out of the jacket for TenneT’s 700MW offshore platform Hollandse Kust (north) has been successfully completed in the port of Vlissingen.
The 2100 tonne jacket was safely brought on board a pontoon from the yard of Heerema Vlissingen by Mammoet.
The operation involved moving the jacket 150 metres towards the quay and then driving the 45 metre-high jacket on board the following day at high tide.
Following the successful load out, after 10 months from the start of construction, the jacket is ready for transport to its final location.
Sail away is planned for the end of October, after which the jacket will be positioned more than 18 km off the coast of Egmond.
Next year the contractor will place the topside for Hollandse Kust (north) on the undercarriage and the platform will be ready in 2023.
