Seaway 7 has reported an incident involving the main crane of its Alfa Lift vessel.
Seaway 7 stated that it has been made aware of an incident involving the folding A-frame on the main crane of Alfa Lift, under construction in China.
No personnel have been injured and the unplanned movement of the folding A-frame is being investigated, Seaway 7 said.
The company said the incident is a “matter between the shipyard and crane vendor”, and that it is too early to indicate if this will have an impact on delivery schedule of the vessel.
Seaway 7 is joint company between the renewables business of Subsea 7 and Norwegian vessels outfit OHT.
A Liebherr HLC15000 crane was installed on OHT’s Alfa Lift vessel at China Merchants Heavy Industry’s yard back in September.
