Nordex has received turbine orders equivalent to 1829MW of capacity in the third quarter of 2021, up from 1229MW in the same period in 2020.
The orders consist of 389 wind turbines, compared with 271 wind turbines in the third quarter of 2020.
Turbines of the Delta4000 series accounted for 1391MW, or 76% of these orders down from 6% in the same quarter in 2020.
Overall, Nordex generated order intake (excluding service business) of 4610MW in the first nine months of this year compared with 3759MW in the third quarter of 2020.
The largest single order in the third quarter came from Australia for the MacIntyre project which is using 162 N163/5.X turbines which will have a capacity of 923MW.
In addition, Nordex received orders from eleven other European countries.
The largest individual markets were Germany, France, Ukraine, Ireland and Poland.
“In addition to the major order from Australia, we again benefitted from our strong market position in Europe.
“In this context, the good demand for our Delta4000 series resumes continuously on a high level. Especially for the European markets we expect this to continue also supported by our recently presented turbine for the 6MW+ class, the N163/6.X,” said Jose Luis Blanco, CEO of Nordex.
