Scottish wind turbine service outfit Ecocel Renewables has joined forces with Spain’s IM Future.
The combined entity will be called IMecocel.
IM Future, which was Iberdrola’s Service Company of the Year in 2018, carries out maintenance, operation and management of wind farms throughout Europe.
IM Future general manager Jose Antonio Riveiro said: “It was important for us to partner with the right company and we are delighted with the opportunity to work with Ecocel.
“We’re highly regarded across Europe and South America and our partnership not only merges resources and technology but also our values and standards.
“This merge allows us to enter the UK market as part of our growth strategy”
Ecocel technical director Jamie Glover said: “The partnership takes us in an exciting direction.
“Having recently won several contracts with ScottishPower, we’ve grown really quickly and this opportunity comes at just the right time.
“There’s an exciting future in store for both firms; allowing IMecocel to implement their ambitious expansion plans and IM Future to bring their world class operation and maintenance services to the UK.”
