Welsh onshore wind and solar energy developer Bute Energy has appointed Mark Vyvyan-Robinson as managing director.
Vyvyan-Robinson (pictured) was previously onshore wind and solar director at EDF Renewables UK, where he managed one of the largest onshore wind and solar portfolios in the UK.
He said: “I am really pleased to be joining Bute Energy at such an exciting time for the business.
“They have an excellent onshore development portfolio throughout Wales and a very clear strategy for delivery.
“On top of this, their commitment to community engagement and their unique approach to working with local leaders to find innovative solutions to regional challenges makes Bute’s offer all the more important – I am excited to have the opportunity to lead a business that can really transform Wales and to support the Welsh people in their contribution to achieving net zero.”
Bute Energy chair Erik Bonino said: “I am delighted to welcome Mark as our new managing director.
“Over an 18-year career within the energy sector, he has built an extensive track record in the consenting and delivery of renewable energy projects, including in our target technologies of onshore wind and solar.
“Mark is joining Bute at a very exciting time: we have a large development portfolio of energy parks across Wales, all of which can be delivered in the 2020’s, thereby making a significant contribution to the Welsh government’s net zero targets.”
