Peak Wind is to sell a 30% stake in the business to Integrated Wind Solutions to continue the company’s growth trajectory and remain in the forefront of the development of the renewable energy sector.
Norwegian firm Integrated Wind Solutions offers a broad scope of services to the renewable wind industry through its portfolio of companies.
Peak Wind chief executive and co-founder Michael Andersen (pictured) said: “Integrated Wind Solutions and Peak Wind complement each other well, and by joining forces we will strengthen our combined platform for growth.
“Both companies share the same ambition to deliver best-in-class services to the renewable energy industry, and I am looking forward to get a professional partner onboard to be joining our future growth ambitions.”
Peak Wind has since its inception in 2017 become a leading provider of offshore wind O&M and asset management consulting services for offshore wind projects.
Its competences have been in high demand globally which has resulted in significant growth over the past years, with currently around 1000MW of offshore and onshore wind assets under management.
Integrated Wind Solutions chief executive Lars-Henrik Røren added: “We see an increased demand for independent operation and asset management of offshore wind farms, and the position Peak Wind has achieved since its inception in 2017 is impressive.
“We found this opportunity perfect to further accelerate our growth prospects in line with our strategy of offering a broad range of services to the renewable wind industry.”
There will be no changes to the Peak Wind management or organisation due to the transaction other than IWS becoming represented on the board.
The transaction is expected to close during September 2021.
