Clir Renewables has appointed Thomas Rohbogner as head of business development for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Rohbogner (pictured) will lead on the expansion of Clir’s optimisation platform across wind and solar assets.
Previously he has held senior roes at Nordex, Siemens Gamesa, EGT and Green City.
Clir said it is working with a number of leading asset owners across Europe to monitor and optimise the performance of their wind and solar projects, recently surpassing 10GW of assets, including several hundred MW in Germany.
Clir’s artificial intelligence-driven platform carries out in-depth analysis of individual asset and portfolio data in the context of the environment and available resource.
This contextual analysis enables Clir to “identify the root causes of underperformance and pinpoint how to solve them”.
Clir Europe business development director David O’Hare said: “Germany was an early mover in wind, and as projects age, comprehensive project data will be key to helping both asset owners and existing investors maximize their return and manage the technical and financial risks associated with their operational portfolios.
“We look forward to working with Thomas, whose extensive experience across the wind industry throughout Europe will be invaluable to facilitating Clir’s expansion in this key market.”
